msXfax Enterprise Fax Server with XCAPI and Anynode Software SBC was successfully tested for Fax passthrough (XCAPI Softfax) in a test lab.

Customer advice notes
Fax over VOIP networks is sensitive to any packet or data loss or data timing.
Internal enterprise networks can have packet loss andor interruptions to RTP voice streams.
If you intend to deploy msXfax enterprise fax server with Anynode software SBC then:
- Ideally, the Fax Server Virtual machine should be co-located on the same VM host system with Anynode SBC.
- If co-location on the same VM host is not possible, then deploy the fax server VM in the same DMZ network as Anynode (ie: no firewalls between the fax server VM and the Anynode SBC VM).
- If both of those options is not possible and you have firewall(s) and routers between the fax server VM and Anynode, you run the risk of unreliable fax communications. T.38 transcoding to G711au is not available in Anynode to handle fax within the enterprise networks.
- Azure deployments:
- BNS has not tested in Azure.
- However, the same general guidance above applies to Azure or any other network.
